Kaspia Blinis are the indispensable base for all our aperitifs - the natural base for smoked salmon, tarama, salmon roe and caviar. Made in Brittany to an exclusive recipe with fresh eggs, they stand out from industrial blinis for their incomparable softness, lightness and slightly buttery, dairy flavor, making them an elegant, neutral base for the most refined garnishes.
The Breton origin is not insignificant: Brittany is one of France's most demanding regions when it comes to crêperie and egg-based pasta. The fresh eggs used in Kaspia's exclusive recipe give the blinis a richness and suppleness that freeze-dried or powdered egg versions can't match. Each blini is uniformly thick and generous in size, ideal for a neat presentation at the table.
Reheated in a dry frying pan over low heat or for a few seconds in the microwave, they regain their suppleness and warmth to welcome tarama, hand-sliced salmon, crème fraiche and salmon roe. They can also be served cold, topped with fromage frais and grav lax salmon, for an elegant Scandinavian version.
