Tartufata is the perfect stocking stuffer for any lover of truffle cuisine: an Italian sauce made from cultivated mushrooms. Agaricus bisporus, with extra virgin olive oil, sunflower oil, black olives and 5% of summer truffles Tuber Aestivum - A very generous dosage that makes this product a real aromatic concentrate, ready to use in any circumstances.
It has a slightly grainy, brownish texture, rich with visible bits of mushroom and truffle. Its aroma is deep and familiar at the same time: fungal, woody, enveloping, with a hint of black olive that adds bitterness and body. It's the base for an infinite number of dishes, from the quickest to the most elaborate.
A spoonful mixed into al dente pasta with a drizzle of olive oil and Parmesan makes a complete meal in five minutes. Two spoonfuls into an omelette as it's being folded creates an astonishingly rich filling. It can also be used as the base for a truffled risotto, as a garnish for vol-au-vent or as a spread on toast as an aperitif. One of the most versatile products in the range.
