Château Lacombe Noaillac 2016 Bordeaux Red Medoc

Château Lacombe Noaillac 2016 is a Bordeaux Rouge Médoc selected by the Maison de la Truffe to accompany its noblest products: fresh truffles, quality charcuterie, truffled foie gras and mature cheeses. It's a Bourgeois Médoc with character, born of a clay-limestone terroir that leaves its mark on the wines.

The 2016 vintage is considered one of the best in recent years in the Bordeaux region: a dry, hot season that produced concentrated, aromatic grapes. This Lacombe Noaillac bears witness to this: intense ruby color, open nose of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, plum) with hints of toasted wood and cedar, palate with a tannic structure that is present but respects the fruit.

It goes particularly well with truffled sausage, black truffle walnuts, foie gras or a platter of mature French cheeses. It also goes well with roast beef, duck confit or herb-crusted lamb. A serious gourmet wine at an affordable price.
